The Growing Crisis in Flood Risk

How well is your business and its employees prepared for flood risk?

Would you like more resilient and the quickest to recover from a disaster?

I saw this article attached by the Insurance Journal, from Neptune Flood Insurance, and it was a really interesting study on the underinsured issues involved in flood insurance.

Here are some of the important points:

1) 77% of single-family homes outside of the FEMA high-risk flood zones (Special Flood Hazard Areas or SFHA) have no flood insurance.

2) 52% of Flood losses inside SFHA zones are uninsured.

3) 90% of all natural disasters that occur involve floods. (We were recently discussing how floods often follow wildfires.)

At Fortify Risk Management, LLC, our experts can help you identify owned property, dependent supplier locations, and employee homes that are most at risk for flood. We then partner with your inside team to develop proactive risk strategies make you more resilient, should a disaster arise. This results in less losses, more profits, and better expansion opportunities.
