Risks of Replacing Employees With AI

What are Five Top Risks of Replacing Employees with AI? (So much has been written about its benefits, I thought I would also balance this out with risks).

1) Client Connection

When relating to clients either in sales or customer service, AI is not a person and does not have personality. This leaves customers without personal relationships and outside-of-work relatability. Loyalty can suffer. Satisfaction can deteriorate.

2) Real Problem-solving

Knowledge does not solve complex problems. The reason is, is that most problems are not just a math equation, or a series of yes/no decisions. Wisdom, insight, and a dogged-determination to get to the bottom of issues ... are only human traits.

3) Creativity, Reinventing Oneself as a Business

AI is predicated based on known- and past-observed states of being. It does not create new ideas or innovations. Over time, let to itself, it will tend to choose efficiency over creativity ever time.

4) Teamwork and Collaboration

Team collaborations are fun and interesting because different team members approach issues from different skillsets, personalities, and backgrounds. Together, they can generate extraordinary results.

5) AI has no Gut

I recently had a “gut feeling” regarding someone I was about to do business with, that maybe everything was not “as it was presented”. Something seemed off in our conversations. This has lead me to further investigate this opportunity before bringing them on. AI does not have the ability to do this. It just relies on pure factual information.

If you are considering using AI for part of your process (I do), make sure you add the human effect into the right places, and so not sacrificing client satisfaction or reinvention passion at the altar of your efficiency gains.
