Angela Cabado, RIMS-CRMP, ARM

Angela Cabado began her career in insurance services, where she quickly discovered that she loves solving the problems nobody else wanted to touch. Over the past 13 years, she has built her career honing that instinct, working her way from claims specialist roles to directing insurance and risk management programs for a Fortune 500 hospitality company with a global footprint. In her corporate role, Angela oversees casualty, property, and employment liability insurance programs and has a track record of building things that didn't exist before. She created a comprehensive return-to-work program, designed and launched a fully custom claims reporting application, founded a risk intelligence committee to drive data-informed decisions across departments, and serves on the company's crisis response team. She leads risk reviews across global operations and has contributed to measurable reductions in claims costs through process redesign and cross-functional collaboration.

Angela was recognized by the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance as a Phenom Under 40 and has been featured in CLM Magazine for her contributions to the industry. She is a frequent conference speaker, presenting on topics ranging from integrated data frameworks, cognitive bias, strategy in claims management as well as topics based on current events such as workplace violence and employment law. She holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) credential, and earned her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida.

Angela is also the founder of Prismetis Strategy, a consulting firm helping organizations solve operational challenges–specializing in claims leadership development and professional growth for claims and risk teams.

Originally from Puerto Rico and Oregon, she is now based in Central Florida. Angela spends her time outside of work chasing her toddler, reading, and playing games of all types.
